Happy Monday ♥
So, I went back to the Botanical Gardens on Saturday with my new lens – it went OK.
I will definitely take my tripod next time thanks to some advice from a fellow blogger. I found I had a lot of shots that were just a little blurry & a tripod would sharpen them up. It was really windy too so only a third of my shots turned out.
I didn’t managed to get any Butterfly photos – they were way to active even at 9.30am in the morning – maybe the Queensland warm weather? I did capture some Ladybirds, Caterpillars & this bug I’ve never seen before (to come). Anyways I love the composition & colours in the 3 photos below – let me know what you think!

Very nice little collection. Great motive, I really like how the colors of the ladybug match the flowers.

Thanks Bec :D

Ladybirds are being wiped out by human ‘progress’, not many to see here now, and usually minus their spots. There is a lot of folk history about them you might like to read about.
thelittleleaf
Oh that’s interesting – I will have to check it out. I had no idea they are being wiped out either – thats crazy!

Excellent photos as always. I especially like the second photo and would love to feature it in my blog. If yes, please e-mail to me at cmchintall@gmail.com. I wonder how this insect came ot be called a ladybird in your parts. It sounds so much more refined than ladybug.

Thank you so much – Yes I don’t mind at all, will email to you know. Just link your post back to me :D

I just love ladybirds … your photos are so cute and exquisite. Wonder what has happen to all the ladybirds ???? Didn’t see one this summer.

Oh no! Thanks for visiting once again :)

A third of your pictures? Thats pretty good. My holding ratio (keepers) is usually less than 10%. Ultimately, I keep less than 1 or 2 percent. Ansel Adams once said that if he made ten good pictures in a year, he had a great year. You are well ahead of us… :)
thelittleleaf
Haha well a 3rd are ok to not delete! But definitely not awesome :)
Ray Laskowitz
Oh. I never delete anything. They are sort of a record of my work. I look at the bad stuff to remember what NOT to do. :) But, then I’m old school. We never threw away negatives.
thelittleleaf
Oh that’s a very good thing to do! Your right though – Ya never throw away negatives & even I dont – but I delete my photos. Very true! :)

Composition is good and you even managed to get a flower with a center matching the color of the ladybug. :)

Thank you :)
